Gregg at the start of the race did you and your team think you could win? Or was this great result a surprise?
We are the 2014 World Champions of Endurance Stock so our objective was to win. My teammate had a crash at the start made which made things difficult, but throughout the race I thought we could win if we got good lap times and there were no more problems.
What is the secret to winning a race as difficult and as long as a 24 Heures of moto?
It is important to be in top physical shape and to be fast in any weather condition: wet, dry, hot, cold, night and day. You also have to stay on form from the 1st lap out until the last lap in to the pits.
What are your goals for the rest of the season?
My objective is to win the World Championship of Endurance Stock once more, and also to win the French Superbike Championship. After 4 races I am actually in the lead so I need to continue like this. I also have 4 wild cards in the Superstock 1000cc so this is a good opportunity for me.
How long have you been riding with Sidi boots? What model are you using? And what characteristics do you prefer most in this boot?
I have been riding with Sidi boots since 2007; they are great, the best boots for me. The last few years I had been using the Vortice; now I have the new Mag-1. They are much lighter and more comfortable. I thank Sidi a lot for everything they have done and continue to do for me. In the future I would really like to have personal colours. But for the moment I am lucky because the yellow fluorescent model goes perfectly with the rest of my equipment. What I prefer in my Sidi boots is the comfort, the weight, the look… and they also fit the foot very snugly. They are the best choice for me!
